The ALink team can offer you mentors with over 15 years experience in apprentice and trainee careers advice.
A professional career can be completed in three ways.
- A full time university course which can take up to four years to complete;
- A TAFE course which can be done both fulltime and part-time; and,
- An apprenticeship which can take up to four years depending on the apprenticeship which involves both on the job and off the job training.
Further your Career
There are ways to further your career in the building industry. After your apprenticeship you may wish to undertake further training such as a diploma or Certificate IV to obtain your Builders Registration or become a Site Supervisor.
The ALink Career Team is involved in many Career Expos. We run our own Apprenticeship and Traineeship Evening Information Evening. We also participate in various expos around New South Wales. If you are interested in attending or would like us to attend your expo, please refer to our events calendar or contact us directly.
ALink want to help you get the most out of your skills and help on your path to a successful career in the building and construction industry. We hold free ALink Apprentice Road Shows throughout New South Wales so find out when we are next coming to a place near you by visiting our Events page.
If there are onsite issues or questions that you want answered then contact our ALink team or visit website and request a visit from an Apprenticeship Mentoring Officer.
