Mates In Construction

MATES in Construction (MiC) helps construction workers deal with mental health and wellbeing issues by providing suicide awareness and prevention programs.  It was discovered following a major study into suicides that construction workers, and in particular apprentices, are significantly more at risk then the general public of completing suicide.  The MiC programs are funded by the Federal Government and are designed to raise awareness on sites, make it easier to get help when needed, and promotes ‘mates helping mates’.
